   tarde, exactamente el 13 de octubre del año 1971,

en el barrio La Zurza de Santo Domingo, nacio esta cosita que ustedes ven aqui abajo, tan

bella y sutil, muy dificil de describir!

Mirenlo, mirenlo! Fijense bien!... No parece un capullito??

Ay chuu mamaaa!... Que angeliiito!...                                   

Pues dejenme decirles a todos ustedes
que no creian en milagros y aunque parezca mentira... ese soy yo!...

Y mis padres - quienes sudaron tanto esa noche en la creacion de esta figura pues me informaron que no habia abanico - Edita Altagracia Ortiz de Mata
y German Antonio Mata.

Y asi, nacio y comenzo un sueño en manos de estos dos personajes, los cuales son
los verdaderos protagonistas de mi vida, pues de ellos no haber sido padres excelentes y exigentes con mi educacion, mis valores como ser humano no se
hubieran desarrollados hasta llegar a ser la persona humilde y sencilla que soy hoy
en dia.

Gracias a ellos, hoy puedo decir que tuve una niñez muy bonita y muy rica dentro de
un barrio muy pobre porque tuve mucho pero mucho cariño de ellos siempre
preocupandose por mi educacion y por satisfacer mis necesidades primarias.

Pero a pesar de todo esto, sus travesuras no terminaron ahi, sino que en otra noche
de locura y pasion, decidieron fabricarme un hermanito con el cual comparti practicamente toda mi niñez, al cual llamaron Samuel Mata Ortiz!

    A proposito, aqui lo pueden ver a mi lado
    y abrazados por mi madre cuando todavia
    mamaba bobo!... Ese manganzon!

    No les parece bonito asi de inocente como
    se ve??...

    ... Traviezo!

    Bueno pues, cuando niño estudiabamos en
    el club Bohechio y tenia que llevar mi propia
    sillita porque no habian butacas.

    Cuando mi madre compraba un cuaderno y un lapiz, lo cortaba a la mitad para
    dividirlo entre mi hermanito y yo. Y aunque no tuvimos buenos juguetes fui un niño
    muy feliz!

Creci en el regazo de mi madre como se ve aqui, quien nos cuidaba mucho y no nos
permitia salir con mucha frequencia.

Y asi creci y me crie... De familia humilde, trabajadora y responsable, pobre pero muy honrada!

Mi inclinacion natural desde niño fue la actuacion, y forme parte junto a otros
muchachos del barrio del elenco de teatro de la iglesia San Juan Bautista llamado "Luz en Las Tinieblas", en el cual interpretabamos los ultimos sucesos de la vida y crucificcion de Jesus cada semana santa de cada año.

... Fue muy divertido!!

Mientras tanto, mis cuatro años de bachiller los hice en el Colegio Santo Cura de Ars
(CESCAR), y al graduarme decidi por exijencia de mis padres estudiar informatica en la UNPHU, tiempo durante el cual mi padre, vendedor de verduras en el mercado, se
sacrifico bastante para que yo completara mi nueva carrera en computadoras.

Pero es que mi carrera original en realidad era vieja puesto que ya estaba marcada
desde mi nacimiento en mis venas, razon por la cual decidi abandonar la carrera de
informatica, aun con la desaprobacion rotunda de mis padres faltando tan solo seis
materias, para estudiar actuacion en la escuela de Bellas Artes.

Bellas Artes me brindo la oportunidad de participar en una gran cantidad de obras en
el Teatro Cocuyo, dirigido por Carlota Carretero, despues del cual decidi lanzarme
haciendo personajes comicos en el restaurante El Conuco.

Esto me ofrecio la gran y real oportunidad inicial de mi carrera artistica puesto que
una de esas noches de risas se me acerco un gran señor con una tarjeta en la mano
pidiendome que visitara su canal de television para darme empleo.

Me sonrei bastante despues del incidente porque lei en la tarjeta su nombre que decia "Juan Ramon Gomez Diaz, Presidente" de Telemicro, Canal 5.

Me sorprendi y al principio pense que se trataba de un empleo como limpiador de
ventanas o algo parecido. Pero GRAN sorpresa que me lleve cuando asisti a la cita y
me entere de que comenzaria a trabajar de inmediato como parte del elenco de
humoristas de "La Opcion de las 12" ese mismo dia!!

Mi llegada a Telemicro desencadeno en mi vida una serie de GRANDES oportunidades
que se me presentaron una detras de otra...

Raymond Pozo y Miguel Cespedes deciden abandonar el Canal 5, y mi trabajo crece
frente al publico al participar tambien en el programa televisivo "Titirimundati".

Mientras en el Canal 5 subian los ratings debido al buen elenco, comence a participar
en algunas de las peliculas de comedias que se estaban realizando en el pais, como
"Perico Ripiao", "Negocios Son Negocios", "Papa Se Volvio Loco", "Los Locos Tambien
Piensan", entre otras.

Y asi, sin aun saberlo todavia, mi trabajo arduo estaba siendo muy bien apreciado por
un reconocido Productor de Television y Director de los mas importantes proyectos
televisivos de los ultimos tiempos, Jose Enrique Pintor...

Quien me sorprendio al decirme que estaba preparando un proyecto para mi y que no podia rehusar: la realizacion de una nueva comedia cinematografica llamada "Sanky
Panky"!!

Pero mientras se preparaba la realizacion de esta pelicula, yo ya cumplia casi cuatro
años trabajando arduamente para mi publico cuando por primera vez en mi vida senti
la GRAN sensacion de recompensa por todo el trabajo realizado al ser nominado
ganador del Premio Casandra como Comediante del año 2005.

Este premio me dio un gran empuje emocional para respetar aun mas a mi publico y
ofrecerles un mejor trabajo!!

Pero tambien me hizo apreciar aun mas los sacrificios y exigencias de mis padres y
me hizo pensar que este premio era primero para ellos. No para mi!

Por eso, de la misma forma y con el mismo entusiasmo que recibi este premio en mis
manos, asi tambien se lo entregue a mi madre y a mi padre como compensacion por
todos los sacrificios que hicieron por mi!

... Gracias papa y mama por haber puesto en mi los cimientos que ayudaron a que
mis sueños hoy en dia sean realidad!

Y en ese mismo tono, durante el año 2006, comenzamos a grabar mi primera pelicula, "Sanky Panky", la cual sin esperarmelo se convertiria pronto en un exito
taquillero y expandiria mis horizontes como actor!!

Mas sin embargo, despues del exito rotundo de esta mi primera pelicula, la vida ya
me estaba preparando aun otra GRANDE y MAYOR sorpresa... MUY MARAVILLOSA y
gratificante en mi vida personal!...

El nacimiento exitoso y saludable de mi primer bebe, Karl Enrique Mata Custodio, el
21 de Abril del año 2007! Lo cual ha sido una bendicion pues me ha hecho ver las
cosas de una forma muy diferente.

Por eso doy GRACIAS a Dios todos los dias por todas las bendiciones que me ha
dado en estos años de mi vida!!

Pero aunque todo este tiempo me ha servido para crecer
en todos los sentidos, lo mas importante para mi
siempre ha sido el no perder mi humildad que
me define como persona y la cual forma
parte de mi!

Siempre tengo muchos proyectos en
